Cathy Bryan, President & Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer Ms. Bryan directs the corporate mission, the organization’s business advancement, its fiscal growth, and future expansion. She is the designated FDA Responsible Head and is responsible for risk management, medical and legal liability, contract design and development. Ms. Bryan oversees operations, product development, resource sharing, and the establishment of satellites and hospital-based programs as well as designing and developing management teams and intradepartmental systems encompassing accounting, production, personnel, laboratory, marketing, and quality management.

Ms. Bryan has served on state and national task forces and various committees.  She served as President of the Blood Centers of California, co-developer of Safetrace, international blood industry software. She is currently President of Blood Innovations and has been the State of California Legislative Chairman for the Blood Centers of California for the past seven years.

Mr. Montrose directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in detection of diseases. He assures timely production of blood components for distribution, and assures adequate IS infrastructure to support Blood Bank activities and growth.

Ms. Martineau develops, implements, and coordinates the Quality Assurance program to prevent and eliminate errors in new or existing processes. She plans, coordinates, and directs the program to ensure the quality production of products consistent with established standards by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Ms. Flinn manages the Blood Bank's Collections Department activities to obtain optimum results. She has oversight of the department’s Quality Assurance and Good Management Practices adherence and evaluates Quality Assurance activities to ensure donor care, staff relations and efficiency of service. In addition she manages the SOP and form process that ensures compliance with regulating agencies including documentation, validation, management review, training and implementation.

Ms. Shimizu oversees all finance and human resources department activities. She summarizes and forecasts the organization’s business activities and analyzes the financial status in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations. Her duties also include developing policy and directing and coordinating human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and employee training and employee services.

Production and Facilities Manager

The Production and Facilities Manager determines the appropriate product inventory levels, monitors and evaluates product inventories analyzing utilization patterns and projections to determine short and long term supply needs. This person manages product distribution and ensures products are transported within applicable guidelines. They leads the organization’s safety and disaster preparedness committee, which is closely involved with the state, county and local disaster preparedness teams.

In addition, the Production and Facilities Manager directs facilities operations at all locations.  This person manages the staff responsible for overseeing and directing maintenance personnel and workers engaged in facilities equipment repair and maintenance. Her responsibilities also include receiving, issuing and delivering supplies and equipment, ensuring the buildings and grounds are free of maintenance issues and conform to safety and fire code standards.The Production and Facilities Manager manages the staff responsible for overseeing the repair and preventative maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and coaches.

Mr. Corley enhances the organization’s image in the community by developing and implementing public relations and fund development programs that demonstrate the blood center’s commitment to its mission and the community. Mr. Corley is the spokesman for the organization and develops corporate messaging and branding. He has the responsibility of developing and cultivating philanthropic resources to advance the organization’s mission.

Recruitment and Donor Services Manager

Mr. Benjamin manages the Recruitment and Donor Services Department. He is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of blood for hospitals in Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino counties. He has oversight of the department’s blood drive coordination and implementation, tele-recruitment staff, volunteer coordination, staff relations, donor appreciation and service. In addition he manages processes that ensures compliance with regulating agencies including documentation, validation, management review, training and implementation.
