Host a Blood Drive

Blood Bank of the Redwoods collects 75 percent of the community’s blood supply from outside the blood center. That means we need to go out into the community everyday to collect blood, which is a critical element to many lifesaving procedures. Today, we are looking more than ever to our neighbors for help with recruiting blood donors.

There is a constant need for blood and community participation is essential to meeting that need. We are always looking for individuals and businesses to host blood drives. Our team of Blood Drive Coordinators, whose friendly faces and tireless efforts will guide you through the process of recruiting donors. Our staff has extensive experience working with businesses, community groups and schools around Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino counties.

Blood drives can be held at any location in your area. There are several options and we welcome the opportunity to work with you to find the most convenient way for you to participate.

There are two types of blood drives:

• Mobile Blood Drive, where we set up in a conveniently located room at your organization.
• Bloodmobile, which is a self-contained coach designed to comfortably accommodate 50 donors per day.
